The Pilates by Whitney studio offers two Allegro 2 Balance Body Reformer + Tower machines, a Balance Body Pilates Chair, a Ladder Barrel and spine corrector. The studio is ideal for private and semi-private sessions and group sessions are currently taught virtually real-time online.

Pilates by Whitney is based in Harrogate next to Valley Gardens and also offers virtual group classes as well as virtual private sessions. Parking available.

Virtual Pilates Classes

Virtual Pilates Classes are taught live using Zoom technology. You will be able to interact with your instructor Whitney Vauvelle in the comfort of your own home and she can give you real time feedback during the class.

CORPORATE PILATES workshops

Pilates workshops are available onsite at your location – or virtually for a small group of friends or as part of your corporate health and wellness initiative. Workshops can be organised before or after work as well as on weekends.

Studio based Pilates offers a unique experience using the assistance and resistance of springs to provide a more relaxing, yet sometimes challenging movement experience.

Using breath, spring resistance, gravity and your own body weight. Pilates uses whole body movement targeting specific muscle groups to rebalance underlying muscular and structural systems and re-educate faulty movement patterns. Poor alignment (how the body parts function in relation to each other) and posture are improved by performing controlled, specific movements with the guidance of a highly qualified Pilates instructor. I have been to Pilates classes before and enjoyed them, but this experience was very different! The reformer machine and all of the other equipment really enhanced the experience. Every week was completely different, working on different parts of the body- but also helping to strengthen weaker areas. I was a little nervous about starting back to Pilates. I had done it in the past but in recent times I had been having knee and hip issues due to old injuries and getting a little older! Whitney listened carefully to my history and planned sessions around what I could do. She also constantly checked that what she was asking me to do was ok. When I started, squatting, balancing and holding my legs in a tabletop position was very difficult. But now, after a set of ten one to one sessions my confidence and ability has improved to the point where I can join a reformer class, which is a huge improvement! I don’t know what words to use to describe Whitney, but amazing is definitely a good starting point!!! I’ve had serious problems with my back over the past 2 years.
